This will help students who are stuck on question #5 on factoring by grouping, in the Unit 1 Discussion. This website below has some examples of factoring by grouping.

I'll also give you some hints to come up with an example expression. Start with the formula for the volume of a rectangular prism:
V = LxWxH
Then replace two of the factors with binomials, and you can leave the third as a constant if you want. Just to make things easier. You get to choose these factors. You will have something like this equation:
V = 2 (3x + 1) (x - 1)
Make sure to come up with your own. Don't use my example!
Then Multiply out your three terms and this will give you an equation as you were asked to do. My example equation becomes this:
V =6x^2 - 4x - 2
The question wants you to show how to factor by grouping, so then factor your expression. Basically you should show the steps to end up back to the original:
V = 2 (3x + 1) (x - 1)
